Monsta X, A.C.E, Seventeen, Exo, Yugyeom And Mamamoo: This Week’s 10 Bestselling Albums In Korea

The top of the South Korean albums chart is typically flush with exciting new releases every week when it refreshes, but this has turned out to be a particularly quiet frame. The Gaon Albums list ranks the bestselling full-lengths, EPs and single albums in South Korea every week, looking at how many copies were shipped to stores, and this time around, just one new project starts off inside the top 10, which makes room for several titles to return to the loftiest space for another go.

Steady at No. 1 for a second week is Seventeen’s Your Choice, which entered the race as high as a title can climb last period. The set reportedly sold more than one million copies in South Korea in less than a week, so it’s not surprising it continued to perform well during its second tracking frame.

The sole debut inside the top 10 on this week’s Gaon Albums chart comes from homegrown boy band A.C.E, who see their latest EP Siren : Dawn miss out on the uppermost rung by a single space. The set opens at No. 2, instantly becoming the group’s highest-charting effort yet and their fifth appearance inside the top 10.

Recent former ruler Don’t Fight The Feeling by EXO surges back toward the top, lifting from No. 10 to No. 3. It is followed closely by Monsta X’s One Of A Kind, which also improves, and this time around it actually returns to the top 10, improving from No. 14 to No. 4.

The only release that loses ground, but manages to remain inside the top 10 on the Gaon Albums chart, is Brave Girls’ first new project in several years, Summer Queen. Last period, it arrived at No. 2, and now it dips only to No. 5.

The lower half of the top 10 on the latest edition of the Gaon Albums ranking is filled with EPs and albums that improve from where they stood last time around, including one that enters the arena for the first time...though it doesn’t debut in the space. Coming in at Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, respectively, are Tomorrow X Together’s The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, UP10TION’s Connection, YUGYEOM’s Point Of View: U, TWICE’s Taste of Love and MAMAMOO WAW

Of those five titles, just one, YUGYEOM’s Point Of View: U, is new to the top 10. Last week, it debuted at No. 11, missing out on the competitive tier by a single space. Now, it’s become the first solo top 10 appearance for the Got7 member.
