NBA Playoff Bracket 2021: Suns At Clippers Schedule, Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream, Odds And Game 6 Picks
PHOENIX, ARIZONA - JUNE 28: Paul George #13 of the LA Clippers and Cameron Payne #15 of the Phoenix ... [+]
The Phoenix Suns once again have a chance to punch a ticket to the NBA Finals by besting the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. The Suns squandered a chance to make their first championship appearance since 1993 on Monday, losing 116-102 at home to a desperate Clippers opponent.
Los Angeles has some life after securing that victory and returning the Western Conference Finals to the Staples Center, but the team has to find a way to win back-to-back contests for the first time in the series. The Clippers dropped Game 5 here this past weekend, a loss that put them on the ropes and gave the Suns a 3-1 lead in the series. LA still has a long way to go to reach the franchise’s first ever NBA Finals, as only three teams have ever successfully battled back from 1-3 deficit in the conference finals portion of the NBA Playoffs.
Sportsbooks believe the Clippers will be able to keep things close this evening, but ultimately fall short in their bid to force a decisive Game 7. LA is currently a one-point home underdog for this must-win Game 6, but could defy the odds if star Paul George has another brilliant performance in him.
George was Los Angeles’ hero on Monday, proving those that doubted his ability to carry the team or come through in the clutch wrong. The 31-year-old went off for 41 points on 15-of-20 shooting—including a 3-of-6 showing from beyond the arc—and adding 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals in 41 minutes of play. It was his best performance of the Western Conference Finals, helping the Clippers overcome the absence of two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and keep their championship hopes alive.
While George was great, the Clippers defense also deserves credit for bottling up the Phoenix offense. Suns star Devin Booker had a strong night—he finished with 31 points on 9-of-22 shooting—and backcourt mate Chris Paul also played his best game of the series by notching 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting, but the rest of the lineup struggled to make an impact.
The three other Phoenix starters—Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder—contributed a meager 14 points in total and the bench failed to provide a spark. Cameron Johnson did his best, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting—including a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point land—but no other Suns bench player eclipsed the five-point mark. The Clippers only got 19 points from their bench, with 15 of those coming courtesy of DeMarcus Cousins, but starters Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson combined for 45 points to help George carry the load offensively.
Can the Clippers finally parlay a win into some momentum and reach Game 7? Or will the Suns close the Western Conference Finals out by winning Game 6 on the road tonight?

Clippers Vs. Suns Betting Overview
Game 6 Odds
NBA odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook
Spread: Suns –1
After disappointing backers and failing to not only cover, but even outright win as 5.5-point home chalk in Game 5, the Suns are now just one-point favorites for Game 6.
Despite Phoenix’s double-digit defeat in the last contest, the public is still heavily siding with this organization. As of Wednesday afternoon, 67% of all bets made against the spread are on the Suns. The Clippers are more appealing to some bigger bettors, however, evidenced by tonight’s home team drawing 47% of the money.
Los Angeles actually opened as a one-point favorite, but sharp action on Phoenix has flipped that leading up to Game 6’s tip-off time.
Total: Over-Under 215 Points
After the Suns and Clippers engaged in the lowest scoring matchup of the entire 2020-21 NBA season in Game 4, oddsmakers set the total on Game 5 at just 212.5 points. With the contest finishing well over—the teams combined to score 218 points—the over-under on Game 6 has been bumped to 215.
Surprisingly only 47% of the public is taking the over at this juncture, a deviation from normal betting trends in which casual bettors tend to take the over in high-profile contests. The over is garnering larger wagers though, evidenced by 63% of the handle on that side of the total.
Bookmakers generally have not tinkered with the total since putting it up on the board, although a small number of shops have dropped it to 214.5.
Moneyline: Suns -115, Clippers -105
The moneyline odds for Game 6 reflect just how evenly matched sportsbooks believe tonight’s Western Conference Finals clash is.
The Suns currently have the slightest of advantages at -115, which means bettors would need to risk $1.15 to return $1 on the road favorites advancing to the NBA Finals. The Clippers are just behind at -105, netting $1 for each $1.05 risked on the home squad.
Based on these odds, the Suns have a 53.49% implied probability of winning tonight, while the Clippers come in at 51.2%%. These percentages eclipse 100% due to the vig, which is the cut a bookmaker takes for facilitating bets.
Game 6 Pick: Suns -1
Game 6 Prediction: Suns 108 – Clippers 106
