Serum institute seeks government nod to export Covovax to the US


  • SII manufactures Covovax under a license from the vaccine’s developer, US-based Novavax. The export version of the vaccine is called Nuvaxovid and has been dispatched to New Zealand, Netherlands, Australia and Indonesia, where a total of at least 100 million doses have been sent.

Kerala on high alert after anthrax cases detected in Athirapally area


Experts said bacteria normally spread through body waste of affected animals after animals come in contact with the affected soil.

5 charred to death in Andhra after live wire fell on autorickshaw


The incident happened near Chillakondaiah Palli village of Tadimarri block around 7 am when a live wire from a high-tension pole fell on the autorickshaw carrying as many as 12 women farm labourers.
